Lovely Louise Pictures is a collaboration between director & producer Josh Gleason and cinematographer Vanessa Carr.

Named after Josh’s grandmother, Louise Levy—who lived to be 113—Lovely Louise Pictures was created while living out of a van in Oregon as we began production for our two upcoming feature-length documentaries, one about a family living full time in an RV from the perspective of their teenage daughter, and one about a sisterhood of older women living out of vans in the wilderness.

We create cinematic, character-driven documentaries that intimately explore the overlooked and misunderstood. Our films capture the complexities—and ambiguities—of authentic human experience.
